2021 Virtual Walkathon

Why Schools Can’t Teach
Our Mental Health Curriculum to their Students
(even though they want to)

Last year, we launched the Boldly Me Academy, a series of courses that teaches students how to thrive socially and emotionally in an increasingly challenging environment.

Boldly Me Academy be a better ver 1500w.

We showed it to school districts and they were very enthusiastic about how it could help their students learn to:

  • cope with life’s challenges

  • communicate in healthier, non-destructive ways

  • improve their school attendance and grades

  • increase their self-esteem

  • improve relationships with friends and family

…and so much more.

Unfortunately, their budget didn’t allow them to get this critical training that they wanted, that they felt they needed.

So, we asked for county funding and got it, but only for a fraction of the student population. One school district administrator in Santa Clara County told us that he loved our program, but couldn’t afford to implement it at all of his schools. We hear this over and over from so many schools in the Bay Area, including Fremont, San Jose and Oakland, just to name a few.

So now we are asking for your help to expand access to our Academy to more students who are suffering from academic pressure, anxiety, depression, poor self-perception: in essence, an Unhealthy Social and Emotional Wellbeing.
