Enjoy a Free, All Day Indian Music and Dance Event (Sat Aug 29)

The YSTCA (Youth Service Through Cultural Arts) is holding a fundraiser event on August 29th at Shirdi Sai Parivaar in Milpitas from 11 AM to 6 PM.

YSTCA is a 4-year-old organization that holds an annual fundraiser event that is, in essence, a day filled with music. They feature Indian classical music schools from all over the Bay Area. Special guests, such as Fremont Mayor Bill Harrison and Union City Mayor Carol Dutra-Vernaci will be in attendance.

The event is free, but donations are welcome. All 2015 event proceeds will go to two charities: Drivers for Survivors and Boldly Me.

Drivers for Survivors recognizes the everyday problems that cancer patients go through, specifically, the issue they face with transportation to their chemotherapy treatments. This organization has volunteer drivers that help provide free transportation and, more importantly, companionship and conversation for cancer patients.

Boldly Me focuses on improving the lives of students and adults all over the Bay Area. They provide guidance and support to any person that is experiencing severe hardships and self-esteem problems in life.

Boldly Me will use any proceeds from this event to help cover the cost of our Bold Journey program for those students and schools unable to afford it.
