Bringing BoldJourney to Leitch Elementary
BoldJourney News
Our BoldJourney Program is off and running for the Winter and Spring semesters. We brought our Boldly Me messengers and Boldquest Team to James Leitch Elementary School to teach the students about self esteem, how it's okay to be different, and how to treat each other with respect and compassion. Leitch Principal Mary Lee and her students were simply awesome.
Our Boldquest messengers, Pat and Cheryl, spoke to the kids in a way that kept them engaged and interested in learning.
And always a big hit, the Boldquest Team from Irvington High School performed for them and talked (and listened!) to them about growing up in a behaviorally healthy way.
Soon after our visit with the students at Leitch, we received a kind letter from one of the teachers that read:
Thank you for coming to Leitch today to share your story with our youngsters. Although they were only K-3 grades, the messages you brought were important and valuable.
Alanna's message was very powerful. I applaud her bravery in sharing her story.
It was also great to see the Irvington High students participating. Some of the students may have attended Leitch!
Thank you again for this wonderful program and for coming to Leitch.
Take care

It means so much to hear the good work we are doing in our community!
Kaiser Permanente Supports Boldly Me
We are very grateful and fortunate to have been recently awarded Kaiser Permanente Community Benefit grant of $30,000.
These generous funds will help boost our BoldJourney program and continue to improve the mental health and school performance of K-12 students in the Fremont Unified School District.
Your Donations are Worth Double until March!
In December, we were selected for a $5,000 match grant from the Despeaux Good Works Fund at the East Bay Community Foundation! This means that for every donation we receive from individuals and small businesses between now and March 2016, it will be matched dollar for dollar (up to $5,000)! So, if you've been thinking of supporting us, please consider donating to Boldly Me today so that we can continue to have an impact on the mental health of our kids and community.
Here are examples of what your donation will do:
A donation of $50 will help three K-12 kids start our BoldJourney program.
A donation of $100 will help six K-12 kids start our BoldJourney program.
