Boldly Me on TV

A few days ago, Boldly Me was featured on Asian Pacific America with Robert Handa on the NBC Bay Area network. Our President & Founder, Alanna Powell, talked about how we started, as well as our desire to help people who feel different to accept and love themselves as they naturally are.

We want to thank Liza Muzaffery, Principal of Mattos Elementary School, for coming on the program with Alanna to talk about what we are doing in the Fremont Unified School District. And a big thank you to two brave souls we worked with (Irvington HS graduate Sumon Kyaw and Kennedy HS freshman Elijah Rivera) who also went on television to share their personal experiences.

When the Students Give Back

Nothing validates our work more than when students see how impactful we are and want to help us in any way they can. We want to share a message we received from a local high school student, along with her donation to our organization:

"Last week I won a scholarship from the Scholastic Figure Skating Honor Roll Team. One of the things I received is a donation of $1000 to a charity organization of my choice. I decided to donate the money to Boldly Me because I really appreciate the work that your organization has done and I want Boldly Me to continue spreading its message."

Year-End Giving

We are very pleased to announce that we have been selected for a $5,000 match grant from the Despeaux Good Works Fund at the East Bay Community Foundation! This means that for every donation we receive from individuals and small businesses between now and March 2016, it will be matched dollar for dollar (up to $5,000)!
